Every year, the Past Lady Captains of Deer Park get together for nine holes and lunch, hosted by the Captain from ten years before. This year, the honour fell to Josie Campbell, and she did us proud.
It was a fabulous day out. The food was excellent, and everyone was looked after brilliantly from start to finish. With the club still celebrating its 50th Jubilee year, the occasion felt extra special.
Mary Barragry presented Josie with a personalised umbrella bearing her name and the DP 50th logo, kindly sponsored by Scott McMullen, who embroiders all our club shirts and jumpers. Scott also had another treat up his sleeve: beautiful notebooks for every past Captain, which went down a storm.
A lovely tradition, and a lovely day.
