Winter Hours at Deer Park Golf: We’re Open All Season

Good news for golfers who refuse to let the cold weather win: Deer Park Golf is open all winter, and we're taking tee time bookings right through the season. Here's what you need to know to plan your round.

We Play by Daylight

Our tee times run from first light to last light, so the key thing to plan around in winter is daylight hours rather than a fixed closing time. As a guide, on 1st December sunrise is around 8 am and sunset around 4pm; that's your window, although at least 30 minutes quicker in a buggy.

With the clocks having gone back, evenings close in earlier than you might expect, so it's worth thinking ahead when booking. An 18-hole round takes approximately four hours, which means the latest sensible tee time for a full round in December is between 12 pm and 1 pm. A 9-hole round takes around two hours, giving you a little more flexibility into the afternoon.

Dusk Rush, Great Value Late Bookings

If you fancy a shorter round and want to make the most of those late afternoon tee times, check our website for Dusk Rush pricing. It's a great way to get out on the course at a reduced rate as the light fades.

Lessons All Winter

The season doesn't stop for tuition. PGA Head Professional Alan Staunton is available for golf lessons throughout the winter months; in fact, the off-peak season is one of the best times to work on your game before spring. Contact the pro shop to book. Alan also has an indoor putting studio, so lessons can be done any time of the day or night!!

When Are We Closed?

Just two days a year: Christmas Day and St. Stephen's Day. Every other day, if there's daylight, we're open.

Book your tee time here or contact the pro shop directly.
