Congratulations to Deer Park Ladies' 2024 Captain, Lynn Berry, on a fantastic victory in Rose McDunphy's Captain's Prize.
Lynn produced an outstanding performance, scoring an incredible 42 points off a handicap of 16 and she has mentioned that it has been reduced to 12 since this big win and a few more great scores!
The win was made even more special as it comes during a landmark year for Deer Park Ladies, who are proudly celebrating their Golden Jubilee, with anniversary celebrations continuing throughout the year.
Lynn was presented with a stunning necklace and, in her speech, thanked her playing partners, Kathleen and Laura, for a wonderful day.
Lynn also paid tribute to Neil Cullen 'Neillie' and his greenkeeping team, saying that in her 12 years she had never seen the course looking, or playing, better.
She extended her sincere thanks to the hardworking Ladies' Committee and the Golden Jubilee Committee for all their hard work and dedication throughout the year.
Speaking from the heart, Lynn said that Deer Park Ladies holds an incredibly special place in her life, adding, "If I ever I get cut, I'd bleed Deer Park." She finished by saying how honoured she was to win her dear friend Rosie's special prize, making the victory all the more meaningful.
