The Horizon Irish Open offers a festival of golf, music and entertainment is in store this September at  the K-Club from September 6-10. Golfing fans from around the world can enjoy world-class entertainment on and off the golf course with Scouting for Girls and The Stunning headlining the main stage in the tournament village over the weekend. Scouting for Girls will take to the main stage on Saturday September 9, with The Stunning bringing the tournament to a close on Sunday September 10. The two bands will perform after the final putt has dropped each day.

The Players

European Ryder Cup Captain Luke Donald has been confirmed for the Horizon Irish Open along with Rolex Series winners Billy Horschel and Min Woo Lee.

Tom McKibbin will make his first professional appearance at the Horizon Irish Open when the popular tournament returns to The K Club from September 7-10.

The 20-year-old became the youngest winner from the island of Ireland on the DP World Tour since Rory McIlroy when he triumphed at the Porsche European Open earlier this month, as he produced a display of maturity beyond his years in Hamburg to win by two strokes.

“I can’t wait to play the Horizon Irish Open later this year,” said McKibbin. “Since securing my place after my runner-up finish at the Irish Challenge last year, this is an event I’ve really been looking forward to playing. I made my first appearance in the tournament three years ago but it was during Covid restrictions, so to have the crowds there in full voice will be unforgettable.

The Bands

Scouting for Girls, known for hits such as She’s So Lovely, Elvis Ain’t Dead and This Ain’t a Love Song, will take to the main stage in the Championship Village on Saturday September 9. The English pop rock band are on Tour with Olly Murs in the UK this Summer before taking to the stage in Co. Kildare.

Formed by Steve Wall in Galway, this will be The Stunning’s first time playing the Horizon Irish Open. The Brewing Up A Storm singers will perform on Sunday September 10. Both acts will take to the stage once the final putt drops each evening.
